Today, Sunday, May 1, 2011, will be a day to be remembered to us and our pastor.  Reverend Clay Evans, Chicago, Illinois, was our guest speaker.  He truly brought us the Word of God.  We thank God for giving us seven (7) years with our pastor at God's House.
The Reverend Clay Evans, son of Henry Clay and Estimably Evans, was born June 23, 1925, in Brownsville. Tennessee.  This Radio and Television Minister who reaches more than twenty (20) states each week, has been happily married to Lutha Mae Hollingshed for more than sixty years; and they are the proud parents of five children.  Diane (deceased) Michael, Ralph, Gail and Faith.

Ordained as a Baptist Minister in 1950, this Illustrious Founding Pastor of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago, Illinois, has received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Ministry and many Honorary Doctors of Divinity Degrees.

An autobiographical book, "From Plough Handle to Pulpit", (Copyright 1982) sold in the thousands, rewritten in 1997.  Reverend Evans has written other books; "A Chat with the Elder" (Copyright 1999) "Gateway to an Abundant Life" (Copyright 2000), and his new book of Sermons of Inspiration "It is No Secret What God Can Do" (Copyright 2001).

Reverend Evans retired on December 8, 2000 as the Pastor and now holds the title of Founder of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, affectionately referred to as "The Ship."  We Give God the Praise!

Reverend Dr. Clay Evans is a Man of Faith, a Man with a Vision, and one who emphatically believes: "IT IS NO SECRET WHAT GOD CAN DO".
